Our directories

The TJA currently offers two directories to members and approved site users, with another coming soon. These directories are not available to the public

Anyone who uses these directories in ways that violate our Code of Ethics may be removed from directory access or the organization. To report abuse of these directories, use our secure online form.

Currently available:

  • Listings of TJA members who are available for hire as freelancers
    • Available to hiring managers who have requested access and been verified by the TJA
    • These listings are maintained by individual freelancers after they opt in
    • All freelancers in the directory can also see the full directory

  • Listings of TJA members who are interested in receiving public relations communications
    • Available to public relations professionals who have requested access and been verified by the TJA
    • These listings are maintained by individual journalists after they opt in
    • All journalists in the directory can also see the full directory

This directory is a new org feature, and we have been discussing whether it should require payment to access, to deter spam and other potential issues. If you are a member of the PR directory and have thoughts on how it would be most useful to you, please reach out to the TJA leadership.

    To be released:

    • Listings of TJA members who have volunteered time to offer career advice to other TJA members
      • Available to all TJA members
      • These listings are maintained by individual volunteers after they volunteer

You must be logged in and have the appropriate user permissions to access member directories.

There are three ways to request directory access:

    • When you sign up as a TJA member, add a request to the directory and note your use for it on your membership form. Please note that your user account must be associated with an organizational email address, or we must be able to independently verify that your organizational email and your personal email are tied.
    • After you have signed up as a TJA member, if you later become a hiring manager, you can request access to the directory via the links to Airtable forms on your user dashboard.
    • If you do not want to become a TJA member, you can request access to some directories through our directory-only access request form. This requires you to create an account on our site but does not confer TJA membership or its benefits.
