    Join the Trans Journalists Association on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET for a practical walkthrough of how journalists can use the Trans News Initiative to strengthen their reporting on trans communities. In this session, TJA staff will demonstrate how to navigate the database to identify coverage trends, surface underreported stories, and develop compelling story ideas across beats.

    Whether you’re covering politics, culture, health, or beyond, this workshop will offer actionable tools to deepen your reporting and expand your sourcing.

    This session is designed for media researchers interested in analyzing coverage of trans communities. Join the Trans Journalists Association on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET as staff demonstrate how to effectively use the Trans News Initiative database to identify key trends, track narratives, and generate meaningful research questions.

    Participants will learn how to engage the database as a research tool, with guidance on uncovering insights that can inform studies, reports, and broader media analysis.
