    Join us for our first FOIA Hours session, co-hosted by the Trans Journalists Association and MuckRock!

    We'll kick things off with a short presentation on how to file public records requests and what makes a request effective. After that, we’ll break into small groups to:

    • Talk through questions and challenges related to FOIA

    • Workshop and file requests together

    • Share leads or ideas for our ongoing FOIA collaboration with MuckRock

    Whether you’re new to FOIA or already filing, this is a great chance to learn, connect, and contribute to our open-source reporting project.

    The TJA-MuckRock project is focused on uncovering the Trump administration’s actions targeting trans communities by filing public records requests at every level of government. Help us document what happened, hold power to account, and build a public archive of critical information.
