On Saturday, September 25, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. ET, NLGJA x TJA's book club will gather to discuss “And The Band Played On” by Randy Shilts.

There will be two Book Club meetings held in September: one in-person at the #NLGJA24 Convention on Saturday, Sept. 7 and one on Zoom on Wednesday, September 25. Both meetings will be focused on "And the Band Play On: Politics, People, and the AIDS Epidemic," the groundbreaking 1987 book by Randy Shilts which chronicled the discovery of HIV/AIDS and the resulting government response.

Meetings will last between 60-90 minutes and will be held on Zoom. Sign-up sheets for each meeting will be available soon, and the events will be listed on our members social calendar and our full events calendar. Can't attend every meeting? No worries! Join when you can.
